Occultist vs buffoon

An occultist does his or her work in privacy and keeps it private and there's nothing more to be said about this.

Buffoons, on the other hand, have an urging need to put on public displays of... whatever it is they boast of doing. Whether it's posting pictures of altars decorated with Christmas lights or videos in which one is accompanied by his mummy-like wife that stands there as grotesque decor and flashes a nightmarish smile while her husband is rambling on about some kind of secret Jesus spells, their efforts are solely aimed to draw attention. It is a cheap marketing gig.

But at least some buffoons are somewhat knowledgeable and experienced, Impotentor AΩ included. Others solely rely on backing from among their list of so called friends (and their mom) to compensate for them not having a clue about shit while posing as foremost experts in more than one tradition or practice. There are others still who, without relying on their mom despite living with her even in their 40s, take this shit show to yet another level of clowning.

Better luck next time

Venus has just been cazimi in Capricorn last Tuesday while Mars is currently cazimi in the same sign. Funny, this year each of the two experiences cazimi in the other's day and very close together. It would have been an amazing opportunity for performing rituals involving the two planets, not to mention making Venusian and Martian talismans. Unfortunately, several factors made that opportunity turn sour, at least for me.

Firstly, Venus, Sun and Mars are all in Capricorn, the sign of Mars' exaltation, meaning both Venus and the Sun are being received by Mars. This would be welcomed since Mars is feeling great here, but it is combust during Venus cazimi and Venus-Sun conjunction also applies to conjunct Mars very closely. This gives a heightened note of volatility to an otherwise very pleasant event.

Mercury retro article

My latest article on the now well known magical training blog Mr Nixter uses to share hidden Golden Dawn knowledge to us mortals, alike to the mythical Prometheus, addresses what I suspect to be an attempt by some at becoming remembered by posterity for having come up with a Mercury retro theory in practical occult matters.

Horary reading

This is going to be a lengthy article and I hate writing them as much as I hate reading them, especially now that I have to deal with a lot in my personal life, but I consider it necessary.

Some time ago someone asked me why I don't do horary as a service if I do elections. I told the person I've not the experience to interpret a horary chart since I'm unfamiliar with all its many quirks and how they worth together. Truth be told I haven't found it necessary to go into it. But things may change at some point with recent events and a backstory is needed. 

A little over a month ago a man contacted me asking me to expose his ex wife's secrets to him, mostly those regarding their marital relationship. He and the woman divorced earlier this year and he had most of his reasons straightened, but his gut feeling told him there may be more to it than the accusations he held against her.

Patience required

Things ahead look ok in terms of planetary elections, depending on the planets you want to work with. While in the case of one planet people should rush to make the best of it, most others require patience before we would be able to benefit from their increased strength.

The Sun is traveling through Cancer where it has no dignity. Best wait a few more weeks for it to enter Leo and benefit from domicile and triplicity.

The Moon is waxing and about to enter Virgo where it is dignified by triplicity. Unfortunately this waxing phase takes it through falling falling Scorpio, culminating with its fullness in exile in. Capricorn.

Ominous Christmas astro forecast

The chart is set for my location at noon sharp, but take heed of this aspect even if you're living further to the west or east. Moon in Scorpio is not such a pleasant time for a holiday. I imagine families getting together in larger or smaller numbers and instead of enjoying themselves, they may end up remembering old grudges and settling old scores.

Additionally, this Christmas will bless us with a not so beautiful Moon square Mars retro. Mars in Leo can be tyrant or at least extremely bossy and the fact it's retro will probably cause people to boil with rage. They will probably release that rage in the form of venomous stings toward others so you can imagine this isn't the best setting for a holiday gathering. I wouldn't exclude termpers to flair as well, but I suspect the former scenario is more likely to play out. Nevertheless, do be careful and try drinking yourself to sleep instead of into a fight (like someone I know).

To complicate matters even more, the Moon's transit through Scorpio begins with a harsh square with Pluto. This should cast an underlying uneasy feeling of compulsiveness over people, somethig totally not good to begin the festivities with.

The aspect will be exact around late afternoon, early evening my time, just when people are usually in the midst of thir Christmas dinner, hence why I've chosen this timezone for the chart. But be aware of it regardless of timezone, especially if you start partying early on or party well into the night.

Mercury in domicile and exalted

This election is best to be used for Mercury workings having a less than beneficial intent and I'll explain why shortly. There will be a few Mercury elections good for beneficial purposes during this transit, but I think I have yet posted a specific article covering an election that can be used for nastiness.

I'm sure quite a few people know Mercury is both in domicile and exalted in Virgo and this is what's happening these days. I assume not many know Mercury elections can be tricky, due to its constant close proximity to the Sun. Given Mercury will be under sunbeams, this election is not perfect, but Mercury overpowers the Sun a great deal nonetheless.

Jupiter exalted and culminating, waxing Moon applying to trine

I've been thinking about this for a while now and so far I avoided coming forth with it because I felt my often busy schedule will distract me from the task. But I've made up my mind and decided to go through with it.

I'm open to calculate astrological elections for magical use for the following forces:

1. Zodiac signs

2. Zodiac decans 

3. Fixed stars 

4. Planets

5. Elements

6. Lunar mansions

7. Shem angels - will need to provide me with the half-decan to which the angel corresponds based on the attribution you're using.

Tricky Mercury cazimi in Gemini

Next month Mercury will be cazimi in Gemini. This particular configuration would be extremely auspicious for magical work, especially talismans. 

However, things are not as pleasant in the heavens at that time, thus hindering any mercurial energies from manifesting whatever people desire of them. As you can see in the chart, my location does not permit having Mercury rising or culminating while cazimi. If you live in another time zone it's possible that configuration will be available for you. If not, know that any mercurial energies you may employ in a magical working at the time, although very powerful, would probably be less likely to manifest your exact desire due to their location in a certain house at the time.

April Fool's Trickster

Mercury's first retrograde station of the year will take place on April 1. The Trickster God will indulge us with his shenanigans for (at least) 25 days starting with April Fool's day.

Besides the event generating both personal and social issues throughout this time frame, as well as before and after for a while, it will be completely improper for beneficent magical work involving this planetary force.

Why do I bother?

Someone asked me why I post astro forecast articles every so often. There are two reasons:

1. It helps people who are not (that much) knowledgeable of astrology get a general idea of the state of the planets at certain times in regards to their magical needs.

2. It helps making potential clients understand why I may say certain rituals they'd want me to perform for them might be less successful, based on their exact need at the time.

For example, if someone would want to do magical work for getting more money or would want me to do it for them, they should know it would be far better at the moment to work with Mercury instead of Jupiter or the Sun. This condition would not last long because Mercury will quickly slip under sunbeams and later become combust, then both in fall and exiled.

Edit: my bad, Mercury is currently under sunbeams, but back when I had thought of writing this article it wasn't...

Meh astro forecast

The New Year begins with mixed planetary strengths. In fact, all but one of the seven classical planets is meh atm in terms of strength, to say the least.

A new lunation began today in Capricorn, the sign of the Moon's exile. It also squared the nodes so we should be in for a rather interesting fortnight. The Moon will increase until becoming Full in Leo (where it will square Jupiter).

Mercury has recently turned direct although it's still in exile in Sagittarius and slower than usual. Not a good idea to work with its forces until the planet at least passes its previous retrograde station point in Capricorn.

Tricky trickster

I've spoken multiple times about how I find Mercury the most difficult planet to work with in regards to elections. Here is one such example.

Mercury is close to entering Virgo, a sign of its domicile and exaltation. Naturally, Mercury is super powerful in this sign. However, if we are to consider lunar phases as well, we see that the only election that takes into account both the Moon's phase and sign would be on August 1. The following chart shows Mercury on the MC and the Moon a little past the Full Moon degree, but also consider Mercury on the ASC, something that would have the Moon placed just prior to that degree.

Mercury election - June 2023

I find Mercury to be the trickiest to work with in regards to elections. Not only does it retrograde more often than the rest of the planets, but its constant proximity to the Sun makes it prone to spend quite a lot of time under sunbeams and combust. Additionally, it spends a relatively short time in each sign and so it's kinda cumbersome to find decent elections whenever its strength is increased.

This Mercury transit through Gemini should provide quite a few good elections although I would caution people to watch out for the out-of-sign combustion it will experience beginning around the start of Cancer season. Mercury will greatly overpower the Sun at the time, but being combust will cause its energies to act more erratically.

Planetary weather unfolding

There's quite a few things going on for the seven classical planets in the near future. This article is thus meant to help those who also consider astrological factors when planning their planetary spells and rituals.

Possibly the main event is Jupiter being a few days away from entering Taurus. It'll leave behind its dignity by triplicity so people would have to check whenever it transits its terms in Taurus in order to get a bit more potent Jovian energies. It will encounter the lunar North Node quite soon though, so it'll receive a short boost in strength, but people can also use that configuration for a North Node talisman we've discussed in Asteria.

Magical campaign

This is a follow-up on my previous article in which I've addressed strategy and tactics in more detail. This article will offer a practical example of how to put that to good use and the example itself will consist of rituals for money based on the astro climate forecast for the rest of the year.

Let's say the strategy is broad, you needing more money regardless of the actual source (while keeping you safe from trouble through any connection with shady sources). I will address specific sources as I go along although you can simply ask for money, period. I will go more into the details on tactics instead.

Mercury retrograde incarnate

The funniest thing happened to me this current Mercury retrograde. Actually, not to me per se, but to a woman I know and I found it funny I got to hear about it. The events she experienced over the past couple of days have left me to believe she had an encounter with the very physical personification of Mercury retrograde.

It all started at the beginning of the week when she was contacted by the school doctor who recommended she'd take her son to a certain specialist for a specific test. There's no need for me to go into details, but the school doctor recommended a specific specialist and she made the arrangements for the boy to have an appointment with the specialist the following day so he'd be tested, his mother attending as well, of course.

Even stronger Mercury election

Recently I've posted this Mercury election with Mercury in domicile, triplicity and terms, but with a waning Moon. This election is even better! And here I was saying good Mercury elections are kinda hard to find haha. And because one of my readers who's bought Los cielos se abren is from Bilbao, the election is set for his location.

As usual, besides the talismans mentioned in the tagged articles, you can pretty much go ahead and perform any Mercury operation you want. Again, I wouldn't recommend you waste such an election on mystical work, offerings, praying, or any other more or less magical activities that don't involve changing things in your favor, especially those of a macrocosmic nature. Working on the microcosm doesn't require such astrological precision unless you're working my stuff for overcoming natal retrogrades. And even then you might not have to watch for extremely precise timing, depending on your goals.

Very strong Mercury election

June 20 is a very good time to perform a Mercury ritual. While it is true there is a waning Moon, I consider this to be a less important requirement (and leave it to the so called experts to pass judgement). What is important in my opinion is that Mercury's condition at that time is kinda rare to find, as I will detail further on.

Since I wrote Los cielos se abren and detailed on general astrological requirements in there, the following chart should be helpful for people in South America tune their rituals to the appropriate time. And you can benefit from this election date even if you're not in South America by moving the chart to have Mercury on the ASC or MC.

All they see is their immediate needs and it seems I was right about their narrow perspective in regards to woowoo, since it's clear it also applies in other areas too. Tough luck, dumbasses! As someone from around here whom I consider a dumbass used to say, "Should I give them my brain? I can't *shrug*" so that's that.
