June 20 is a very good time to perform a Mercury ritual. While it is true there is a waning Moon, I consider this to be a less important requirement (and leave it to the so called experts to pass judgement). What is important in my opinion is that Mercury's condition at that time is kinda rare to find, as I will detail further on.
Since I wrote Los cielos se abren and detailed on general astrological requirements in there, the following chart should be helpful for people in South America tune their rituals to the appropriate time. And you can benefit from this election date even if you're not in South America by moving the chart to have Mercury on the ASC or MC.
We see a powerful Mercury in domicile, triplicity and terms, making it a +10, while its location on the MC increases its strength. It is also NOT combust and NOT under sunbeams, the latter occurrence being quite often. Moreover, it is traveling at regular speed, having exited its retrograde "shadow zone". As previously mentioned, the Moon is waning in a neutral sign and in a triplicity of which it's the participating ruler (based on Al Biruni), also applying to a conjunction with Neptune. This conjunction could muddy the waters a bit although I'd say it would add a more fairytale touch to the manifestation of the ritual in real life.
I already tagged the Mercury talisman article as something you can perform at that time, but you can also perform Mercury rituals for other goals at that time. I would recommend you make a Mercury talisman though, even if it's not the one I've tagged, in order to store that increased power so that it'll work continuously from then on instead of wasting it on a ritual that will eventually wear off.
Here are some Mercury talisman descriptions:
"The image of Mercury according to the opinion of other sages is the form of a crowned nobleman riding on a peacock, with a reed pen in his right hand and a book in his left, and his clothing is of many mixed colors" from the Picatrix, which Agrippa describes as having the power to "render the bearer thereof gratefull, and fortunate to do what he pleaseth: it bringeth gain, and prevents poverty, conduceth to memory, understanding, and divination, and to the understanding of occult things by dreams."
Agrippa also speaks of a Mercury talisman bearing the image of "a handsome young man, bearded, having in his left hand a rod in which a serpent is twyned about, in his right carrying a dart, having his feet winged. They report that this Image conferreth knowledge, eloquence, diligence in merchandizing and gain; moreover to beget peace and concord, and to cure feavers."
But you can also make talismans for other goals based on Mercury's magical and astrological powers: healing, communication, knowledge, study and passing exams, craftsmanship, improving magick, theft (or protection against), etc. You'd have to inscribe the symbol of Mercury and that of the spirit or spirits you'd be using to empower the talisman.
(The same day can be used for Venus rituals since Venus will be separating from its square with Saturn and will only be in its domicile for another couple of days.)
Hate on, dum-dums!
