Bummer

I recently got contacted by a person with whom I've collaborated in the past. I had to end the collaboration because the desired result of the person was getting more and more out of reach, so I had to admit failure. I was very confident things were going to succeed the way the person wanted until near the end when I began sensing there's something that alludes me that's preventing total success - there were some minor successes along the way, but what's the use of winning a few battles if you lose the war? I could not pinpoint the unknown factor in its entirety, so that's that.

This person contacted me for something else and besides doing whatever it is they asked of me, I also suggested they'd use a pentacle from the Key of Solomon they had acquired some time back from someone who is providing such magical services. The person told me they will not use the pentacle and the reasons why, to which I asked when it was made and consecrated.

The Great Conjunction - what about it?

I logged into fb a few days ago despite knowing very well it'll give me allergies. I only did so because I was at a small gathering and one of the gathering-ers insited they show me something, for which I had to log into fb... Sigh...

As soon as I logged in I almost drowned in the biblical-like flood of threads relating to the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius - the faster moving planet is always mentioned first, as it is the one applying to and separating from the aspect - on my wall. Amongst these threads there was one by a cute girl in an occult group which boasts on academic research into ye olde magical practices people nowadays know by a name alluding to the biblical king of the Israelites - no relation between the former and the latter.

Anyway, the cute girl in question asked if there's particular rituals that can be done based on the much talked about conjunction. Almost everyone there mentioned works of destruction. While I see no particular issue in this answer, the fact that it came from people who are considered to be the creme de la creme of the occult world, people who, on top of that, allegedly possess vast amounts of occult related knowledge, I find it hilarious. I also find it sad and pathetic at the same time. The reasons for which I find it as such are not important. What is important is the fact that a user (a cute girl, in this particular case) asked a very good question, to which she deserved much better answers than what a novice chaote could provide, especially from the likes of high level wizards.

Alas, tis true. Har!

One of my dearest readers has contacted me out of the blue last night telling me the above. I... remained speechless for some time after reading it, before I emailed him back thanking him. I also told him that people hate me, implying the reason why my book doesn't get attention. I mean, I don't expect people to like me and I don't care either way, but how can I not be hated when I write stuff like *this*? ;D

This goes to show my stuff is not just pretty words arranged in interesting ways. You hear that, Mr. Meanie person? You know who you are! (He's a Dear, but a meanie nonetheless!)

That, and I'm perfectly aware of the fact my stuff is meant for those who are meant to have it. The rest of them can keep on hating me and I will keep on not caring at all while feeding off of that hate. So,

Hate on, dum-dums!

Abducted by TikTok

Yours truly made it to TikTok. Here's the promo to the article on eclipses we wrote. Well, Andres and Mario did most of the work, so I'm kinda embarrassed to take any credit for it. Nevertheless, I hope Spanish speaking people everywhere will enjoy it. By the way, the level of enthusiasm and professionalism these guys are showing is far beyond my bull-in-a-china-shop way of doing things.

Thank you, Andres! Thank you, Mario!

Article on eclipses

I've recently been invited by Andres (see the links to his fb page and blog de la magia to the right of the page) to co-author an article that covers the topic of eclipses. It does so from a mythological and magical, but also from an astrological and astronomical perspective.

The article is written en Español and you can access it *here*. You can also access it to the left of the page, in the section covering my online articles. Talk about horizontal transfer of knowledge ;)

Enjoy!

Thank you, Andres! Thank you, Mario!

Spirits of the fixed stars

Ever since I became aware of the fixed stars and their magical uses I searched for their spirits, not knowing at that time there are no spirits attributed to them in old sources. They're not in any new source, for that matter. I soon learned that, when working with the fixed stars, the operant simply invokes the star of choice and asks for its energies to consecrate a talisman for purposes covered by the power of said star. The invocation can be something as simple as the Orphic hymn to the stars, yet it has to be performed at specific auspicious times for the effects of the operation to be successful - i.e. for the talisman to produce the desired effects.

But what about the spirits? From a Qabalistic perspective, the fixed stars are attributed to Chockmah. This sephira is ruled by archangel Raziel and people usually know that the zodiac is attributed to it. The sings of the zodiac all have spirit attributions, as per old sources. The Golden Dawn have compiled these attributions along with others relating to the signs, yet people nowadays can come across them easier thanks to Uncle Al who published them in Liber 777, most likely having received them from Mathers. Even so, no mention of spirits of fixed stars. I mean, there have to be spirits who govern the consciousness of each of individual star, right? Otherwise, the poor Auphanim would mostly do nothing... I imagine they'd be so bored...

The fixed stars can be either part of the zodiac signs, yet most of them are extra-zodiacal. Probably the best known fixed stars are the 15 Behenian Stars the ancients considered as being special for some reason (I'm not an erudite, so don't ask me why because idk!). But these stars do not have spirit attributions either! This kinda pisses me off because I'm used to working with spirits one-on-one and commanding them, not just to "praying for a miracle". The idea of getting in touch with actual spirits of these stars stuck to me, but unfortunately I had little time to do anything about it, being super busy... "facilitating people's access to God".

Mars growing stronger

Mars is in direct motion right now and in domicile, so it is strong. Yet it is moving slower than its usual transit speed, so it is not as strong as usual when transiting its domicile. Mars will continue to move slower than usual up until it exists Aries, reaching normal speed with only a few minutes of arc remaining before it slips into Taurus where it is weak.

However, Mars' current condition is about to improve even more, since in a few days it will enter its terms in Aries, starting at 20*00'00'' Aries. Between then and when it reaches 25*59'59'' Aries it will be very strong! Not super strong, but strong nonetheless. So look up the chart and see the exact dates and times Mars will happen to be in those degrees, based on your location.

Thoughts on lottery magick

I came across a comment in Scott's blog a few days ago, someone asking him about spells for winning the lottery: here. I thought of throwing my two cents in, since it's something I've experimented with, yet in a more passive way, as I will detail further on. The querent asked Scott what is the best magical power from those listed in Liber 777 for winning the lottery. Scott provided the following answer, which I took as my cue to step in :P

"Experimentally I found that Jupiter seemed to work the best for me compared to Sun and also Mercury. Another magician online posted about the same thing and he claimed to have better luck with Mercury. Here's the rationale for each of those planets.

Sun: Power of Acquiring Wealth. Lottery winnings are wealth.
Jupiter: Political and Other Ascendancy. In our modern society, "ascendancy" is strongly tied to wealth. Rich people have the highest status, and lottery winnings make you rich.
Mercury: Less obvious from the 777 powers, but traditionally Mercury rules games of chance. The lottery is a game of chance.

The differences in my results and the other magician's results might have something to do with our respective astrological charts, but it's not obvious what the difference would be. I have Mercury in rulership and Jupiter in detriment in mine, so if the relationship was straightforward planetary dignity I would expect Mercury to work better for me. But that isn't how my results turned out."
