Pretty review

The Chiron book's got another review. It is a 5* review that comes along with a comment for which I thank the person who posted it!

Yes, the simple ritual layout presented inside the book can be easily adapted to fit the individual needs and magical style of the reader. The Wise One will show up regardless of whether you're using the ritual presented within these pages, something more ceremonial magicky, or something more akin to Pagan Saint's muchly superior over the top (PAGAN!) woowoo

Speaking of which, I keep telling good ol' Nick his spuchy journalistic writing style is not being appreciated by everyone and it keeps falling on deaf ears I'm afraid. Alas, I'm trying... Shaman might have no problem with Nick's spuchy ways in Asteria, but that's another topic all together - a spuchy topic.

Picatrix decan talisman - Jun 2021

The first decan of Cancer is the decan of Venus, of which the Arabic Picatrix says the following:

"Consider the image of a man with curved face and fingers that looks like a horse. He has white feet and tree leaves are attached to his body. This image appears
in the first phase of Cancer. It is the phase of Venus, and it indicates wittiness, mindfulness, friendliness, delicacy and cleanliness."

And the Latin Picatrix:

"A man having twisted and crooked fingers and head; and his body is like the body of a horse, and having white feet and upon his body fig leaves. And this is a face of teaching, knowledge, of love, subtlety and of skills."

Happy Retirement!

My old phone has retired yesterday. My phone, the one I started looking up woowoo on in early 2015 and which has assisted me in every magical operation and daily practice session ever since, has retired. My phone, the one that knows more magix than a lot of occultists out there, having served as my quote-unquote grimoire, has retired.

No, it's not busted, but old age has come to it. Besides a screen that doesn't work in certain places and an ever so depleted battery, it also lost its ability to take proper photos using a flash and several other features, including signal failure. It is still alive though and would be able to assist me in ritual anytime.

It has seen its fair share of successes and failures over the years. It has helped me look up various occult sources and calculate many auspicious ritual times. It has served me the many invocations go various godheads I've been using in rituals. It has witnessed hundreds of spirits of many classes manifesting nearby. And now it is time for it to rest. It is still being used albeit carefully and for non magical purposes, while its senior status is being respected and as such it is receiving more than a fair share of warm electricity every day.

Happy retirement, dude! And thank you! This is the old dude resting and you can see the new one's reflection:

And theeeeeen!

Picatrix decan talisman - Jul 2021

This is an election I've chosen for a decanal talisman from the Picatrix. The decan in question is the second decan of Cancer, decan of Mercury.

The Latin Picatrix says the following: "A woman of beautiful visage, and having on her head a green wreath of myrtle, and in her hand is the stem of the planet which is called the water lily, she is singing songs of love and joy. And this is a face of playing, and of wealth, joy and abundance."

The Arabic Picatrix: "There is also the image of a beautiful woman longing for
pleasure and singing, wearing a wreath made of green basil on her head and holding a rod of nenuphar (water lilly) in her hand is longing for pleasure and singing. This image appears in its second phase. This is the phase of Mercury, and it denotes entertainment and enjoyment of music as well as grace, honor and wealth."
