Appearing practically out of the left field, El Toque de Asclepio is a unique occult book that focuses on healing. It's not just any book and it's not just any healing because it's written by Señor Shaman. Therefore, it's addressing this highly sensitive and complex field from unique perspectives.
The book itself is not complicated, meaning it won't be hard for readers to wrap their head around it. It does, however, discuss and detail concepts that can become complicated once you pass through the shallow and artificial layer New Age thought has laid down upon them.
The author, who is a fervent opponent of New Age currents, simply brushes aside such fake images of rainbows and unicorns and discusses the concepts in a direct, professional manner. He does an excellent job in bringing together both Eastern and Western (Kabbalistic) methods of applying those concepts in practice. Even better, he does so in a way that allows even the most "uninitiated" person apply them. By this I mean, naturally, people who's focus is directed towards the mundane side of existence and not those who follow some "extremely powerful master" who in turn is in constant contact with "ascended masters" from 5D and beyond.
More importantly, the book focuses on helping people become aware and make use of their own powers, instead of relying on outside help. I found this to be a topic that needs much more attention than it has received by occultists in the western world, many of whom frown upon hearing of energy work for magical purposes. This probably happens because the people in question know next to nothing about such things (despite constantly referring to themselves as being highly skilled magicianists and such). It gets even sadder when some even say people don't need that in magick without mentioning the fact it would have its benefits, regardless if they can't elaborate on that.
Anyway, once the readers become familiarized with such and such concepts, they are presented with a series of exercises for applying them. The exercises' difficulty increases in order to help the individual improve their skills and knowledge. The author reminds his readers that such exercises are not to be taken lightly and that constant, diligent work will allow them to experience success, maintain it, as well as witnesses constant improvement.
Since the focus of the book is on working with one's microcosm, its importance increases because the cause behind every health condition comes from within. This also applies to cases where disease is caused by outside factors, as those factors are allowed to, and sometimes even encouraged by the host to manifest their nature inside the body. By skilfully guiding the reader towards harnessing their inner powers and putting them to use, this book helps a person improve their physical (and mental) condition and prevent possible future health issues that would otherwise make their way into their awareness sooner or later.
Personally, I wanted the book to present and discuss a few more concepts and I specifically mentioned this to the author. From what I understand, they will feature in a follow-up volume so stay tuned for more! Truth be told, I guess this book contains enough information to prevent people from becoming overwhelmed, but also provides them with a reliable arsenal of professionally presented and explained techniques. It all comes from someone who's had his share of clashes with ignorant occultists who can't tie their own shoelaces, let alone perform detailed studies on more than a few sick people and offer them means to at least alleviate their condition.
And it also contains pretty pictures! Here are some screenshots from the book:
There's no better help than explicit diagrams, right?
Hate on, dum-dums!

Unrelated to the author: No, you dumbass, you don't have to "know your plants" for shaman related stuff! You have to know the dosages and ways each plant has to be used in healing depending on the condition, not to mention the fact not everyone's microcosm will accept certain plants regardless of how good they are, because reasons. The same applies to crystals and all other natural things that have healing properties. Otherwise you'd be doing more harm than good, so do yourself a favor and stop farting out the wrong whole trying to come across as knowledgeable!
