On Venus retro

We are currently experiencing Venus retrograde. We've discussed retrogrades in detail in Asteria, including Venus. But that information is aimed more at allowing people to understand the phenomenon in relation to their magical work.

Here I want to speak more about mundane things, while reminding people retrograde planets are considered debilitated. That is to say, they manifest their inharmonious sides and thus it's best to abstain from magical works with the intent of using their beneficial nature.

"Stay away" update

Last month I posted this article on how something that can be considered a curse can have good repercussions for the target as well. But that's not all! Earlier this week I was told his family forced him to move in with them in the countryside for a while.

That while may very well turn out to be a couple of years or more. The guy seemed so sad he had to go and said he'd keep in touch, but who cares... The good thing for me is that the whole thing turned out in my favor after all, irrespective of his feelings and whatnot.

The guys over at Boticario Magico have produced an ad containing Asteria, Cielos, Chiron, Señor Shaman's book, their translation of Aradia into Español, along with their own zodiacal calendar.

Since I suck at html and the page coloring and formatting gets fucked up whenever I want to switch to adding html codes, I cannot actually put the video in this article. But you can watch it here.

Zodiacal calendar

The guys over at Boticario Magico have released a zodiacal calendar for 2023 (and will obviously release one for each year to come).

The calendar contains several important pieces of information, including lunar phases and Mercury retro periods. Moreover, it contains the sigils of the twelve zodiacal angels. Note the angel names are taken from the Magical Calendar, a renaissance source, as well as good ol' Cornelius Agrippa.

Tricky trickster

I've spoken multiple times about how I find Mercury the most difficult planet to work with in regards to elections. Here is one such example.

Mercury is close to entering Virgo, a sign of its domicile and exaltation. Naturally, Mercury is super powerful in this sign. However, if we are to consider lunar phases as well, we see that the only election that takes into account both the Moon's phase and sign would be on August 1. The following chart shows Mercury on the MC and the Moon a little past the Full Moon degree, but also consider Mercury on the ASC, something that would have the Moon placed just prior to that degree.

Getting down and dirty

The title of this article is the first half of the article titled "Getting down and dirty: Astrology and love spells" from Asteria 2. The article is found on page 135 and it presents two complex charts, one of which is depicted above. The goal of this article is to help practicing occultists achieve better success with love spells by making use of astrological knowledge. 

The astrological details mentioned in the article fall into modern astrological teachings, but so far I found such teachings extremely helpful in decripting the highly complex energetic patterns between people. When applying magical means on already existing patters, magicians have a bigger chance of shifting things the way they desire. Alternatively, they can come across patterns that will hinder their love spells. The Magick of Astrorelationships can be of great help in the latter case.

Debt gone

I know a man who used to own someone around $15,000. He was going to pay the person back, but he had to wait for longer to get hold of that amount and the other person needed it back badly. He told me his problem and I performed a couple of rituals on him, working with the Sun and Jupiter. 

The end result was not that the man himself came into possession of the money, although he'd end up receiving a certain amount himself, but something very interesting considering how spells materialize based on the intent. I talk about intent in Words and why it's very important in practical occult, something completely opposite to what many self-righteous assholes out there preach. But what do I know?!
