Conjuration

Early on my magical path I was told by Scott a spirit's sigil is like its personal phone number. Just like a human can have more than one phone number, each spirit can have more than a single sigil, whether they're found in old grimoires or they're generated from a kamea, etc.

But then why wouldn't a spirit be conjured using more than one conjuration formula? I mean there isn't a single, unique recitation of words that would have the spirit show up. There can be more than one verbal construction, some longer and other shorter that can be used for this purpose.

Naturally, such constructions need to contain specific words and phrasing as to have a greater impact on the spiritual world and determine the spirits to show up. If a spirit's sigil is akin to ita phone number, then the conjuration formula would be like diling that number although this is not a good comparison.

Lilith book review

"The Astrology of the Black Moon: A Guide to Healing the Shadow Side" by Laura Walker is a very good source for those willing to understand this mysterious force in greater detail. Even though the book is less than a hundred pages, the author has done an outstanding job at describing Black Moon's nature and influences. While I would've loved for this force to be dealt with in regards to relationships as well within the book, the description of its influences in a natal chart are extremely valuable.

I like this book so much I even used it as source material for Asteria and it also became source material for Asteria 2.

Venus election next month

As I stated in a previous article, Venus will be in Libra soon. As such, I've chosen the following election for the although I'm not saying it's the best one. I'm sure others will find better ones if they looked harder, but in my case in more than good enough.

At the selected time we see Venus in domicile, on the Ascendant, in sect, free from hard aspects. The waxing Moon in Aquarius, although in a loose separating square with Jupiter, is applying to a very tight trine with Venus. The trine aspect is partile and close to being exact.

I too am ignorant at times

Earlier this year I made this review of The Sun of Knowledge. I expressed my disappointment in it, partly out of frustration it wasn't what I expected, partly out of frustration I don't speak Arabic and partly out of sheer ignorance. You see, while having criticized many of being ignorant along the way, I am my own worst critic and I always admit I'm wrong, dumb or whatever whenever the situation arises.

Last night I spoke at length about this book and its contents with an Egyptian Muslim. I must state upfront the man is not involved in the occult and so he couldn't enlighten me in regards to the nuances and subtleties within the book, especially since he hadn't read it. But what he did tell me was some accounts of people who had, one of the accounts being of a guy he knows very well, a guy who also used the book (although he couldn't tell me how).

Decans pathworking

This hit me a few days ago while I was under the influence of a certain mystical experience inducing herb and mind you I've only done it outside ritual space so far. By that I mean I hadn't tuned the space to the appropriate force, meaning the information I received was likely to be more diluted and mixed with interference from other forces. But so far I fancy the idea and I think I'll do it as often as possible.

Some years ago Scott presented a simple pathworking ritual, something I've been using to work my way up the Tree of Life. Right now I have only the paths of Venus, Moon, Mercury and Air left, but each new pathworking seems to take longer than the previous for the energies to settle down inside my sphere and for me to physically manifest and act according to what I've been taught during the actual pathworking.

Flower!

The rose plant has one flower blossoming and it's October! It's not much because the flower itself is small and it's just one, but it's a considerable success given the plant was close to dying earlier this summer.

I've got another garden magix project in work and I will be posting about it in due time.

Caution

Mars is currently in exile in Libra and thus it's very weak, but it's getting closer to becoming super strong in Scorpio. The downside is that it'll be combust for much of the time it'll spend in Scorpio. Therefore, despite the fact it'll greatly overpower the Sun, it's combustion will make its energies erratic. Just wanted to remind people of this in case anyone's thinking of contacting their personal pentacle maker (who in many cases has no clue of astrology) and asking for a Martian pentacle.

The good thing is Mars will be cazimi towards the end of Scorpio, which is a very good thing. One should take advantage of this (if their geographical location allows for Mars cazimi to be rising or culminating at the time).

Venus, however will be very strong in Libra at the time, this year unimpeded by combustion.
