House colors

Did you know the twelve astrological houses were assigned colors? I didn't! And don't that the above picture for granted since I'm only using it because it's showing colored houses, but those are not the colors of the houses.

Part II, Chapter X of Liber Astronomiae mentions the colors assigned to the houses in the context of horary readings. Basically, if you're looking for something of a particular color then the house or houses assigned that color are the ones you should study when doing a horary reading to find that particular thing.

Issues with Lilith

Here's something I hadn't written in my late book Mundane Body Magick. It's not even mentioned in Asteria because the topic would've derailed if we wrote more than a couple of tightly packed paragraphs on the topic, but at the same time readers would've found that out of place without further explanation. It's about the Black Moon's effects by its placement in signs in natal charts and it covers more than a few possibilities of generating discomfort. 

The amount of that discomfort and its nature will vary, usually due to any aspects BML is involved in and their effects will be felt mostly in the areas of life covered by the house BML occupies. There are benefits to such placements too, but people should identify them by themselves because there's a heavy dose of subjectivity involved - i.e. BML in Aries can make someone have a certain look which some people might not like having...

Stop whining and start winning

During the eight or so years I've been involved in the occult I came across quite a few people who complained about not having what to work with... By this I mean they have an immediate need and the force they would normally appeal to weak, or the lunar phase is off in regards to their desire, or it's not the right day and hour, or... you get the picture.

I'm not going to start tagging every single time I've written about proficiency and taking advantage of auspicious times before you'd end up in a mess because that would mean I'd have to waste my time looking through many of the articles I've written this year alone. Instead, I'll say what I've said quite a few times on different occasions and in various online environments.

Intent

After a short dialogue with Scott in the comments of one of his articles it came to me there's many people out there who need to know this. I'm not referring to Scott, of course, but to someone who commented onthat article. Therefore, this post is solely informative and is not meant as criticism.

Drought

Yesterday this wonderful man who's efforts put out the brushfires a couple of years ago said to me someone told him there's drought in my neck of the woods. Being the wonderful man he is, he offered his help in the form of performing the ritual working for rain on my lands. I thanked him for being such a wonderful man, but I told him some idiot's already addressed the issue loosely. 

And truth be told I woke up to rain this morning. I also told him he could lend a hand to Her Cutsiefulness and deal with the heat there if he wants, since Her Cutsiefulness is super busy getting her licenses to fuck with people's auras (which she does expertly).

Evolution!

If you're an occultist then I guess it's safe to say you've come to realize we're spiritual beings experiencing existence in the flesh, as Birch puts it, or at least you will come to realize this at some point. But besides the physical path we are given to explore, with all its many surprises, ups and downs, twists and turns and so on, we've also been given a spiritual path we can choose to either allow ourselves to follow or ignore altogether. Horizontal and vertical, the two directions that make up our existence.

Now, I could start being all erudite about it and start quoting from Pat Zalewski's Golden Dawn book, but I won't do that because I'm not some self-important hypocrite that's posing as an authority figure. Instead, I will point out the fact I'm not the only one that's realized certain things with respect to cosmic laws and cycles. Moreover, the person I'll be referring to is far from being some all-powerful magicianist who's got many many followers, but a practitioner like myself who's constantly putting his increasing knowledge and skills to work for improving his life both horizontally and vertically.

Arabic Lots calculator

Señor Shaman has done a wonderful job presenting the mathematical formulas for the Arabic Lots in Asteria. I for one suck at math so you can easily deduce any mathematical details presented within that book is all on him.

And since I suck at math, I wasn't able to manually calculate my natal Arabic Lots. Therefore, I had to resort to an astro site for that and merely applied the formulas within the book. THIS SITE allows you to do that by changing between the formula components based on the individual formula for the Lots. You only need to know your exact time of birth. Naturally, you can use it on charts generated for basically any time.
