We're not God

In fact we are God, but that's not what I meant. Many occult practitioners work on accessing and assimilating more of their godhood, but they will never become God - i.e. all-powerful, all-knowing, all-encompassing, etc. Not in their flashy existence anyway. Am we must accept that and the limitations imposed onto us by this ephemeral yet ever so rich experience in the flesh.

Planetary weather unfolding

There's quite a few things going on for the seven classical planets in the near future. This article is thus meant to help those who also consider astrological factors when planning their planetary spells and rituals.

Possibly the main event is Jupiter being a few days away from entering Taurus. It'll leave behind its dignity by triplicity so people would have to check whenever it transits its terms in Taurus in order to get a bit more potent Jovian energies. It will encounter the lunar North Node quite soon though, so it'll receive a short boost in strength, but people can also use that configuration for a North Node talisman we've discussed in Asteria.

Thoughts on pathworking

I recently had a conversation with a reader of this blog concerning pathworking. Among other things, he asked me if I'm aware of any literature on this subject. I admitted to being uncultured and pointed him to Scott for details on Crowley's recordings of his experiences with the Aires. By the way, I recommend you read Scott's articles on the subject if you're interested, this one and this one, since they've helped me get started in this field. 

The man also told me there's little out there in regards of actual experiences during these operations and I agree. Besides generalities on how to perform a pathworking, there's not much in regards to different minute details one can come across during a pathworking. But in my opinion that is to be expected since no author can cover the vast and diverse range of experiences. There's so much, even so little, one can come across and that renders every attempt to even try to paint several scenarios even in broad strokes, irrelevant.

Spirits' moods

Here's something we didn't explicitly mention in Asteria although it should be obvious to anyone practically involved in occult affairs who also studies astrology. It should be of no surprise each planet feels differently when transiting different zodiac signs.

 

By extension, its spirits, when called upon in ritual, manifest differently depending on the sign the planet is transiting at the time. We've discussed this from a different perspective in Asteria in the section on natal chart and I also addressed it from the same perspective in Words. It also applies to other spirits of forces found inside the zodiac chart, such as spirits of the signs, but in this case it has to do with sign placements or lack of (among other things).

Why Shaman?

Señor Villavicencio resents me referring to him as "Señor Shaman" in public. He has his own reasons for this and I find them legit. I agree with him wholeheartedly and I respect his stance on the matter. However...

...I, being me, will continue to refer to him as such! The reason for this is much too complex to cover and I'm not in the mood for that right now, especially since tomorrow is Easter in my neck of the woods. 

But I want to say that I refer to him as Señor more as a title than as a polite from of addressing him. I mean it's not as if I consider him nobility, nor would I ever think of considering him a god, but as a means of establishing my view about him, a view that elevates him above many of the people involved in the occult in one form or another.

The power of a name

I initially wanted to include this in Words, but I would have digressed even more. Suffices the first two chapters are already somewhat of a rollercoaster ride. Adding yet another "side story" would have probably confused readers. I did have an excellent opportunity to do so at the beginning, after I added the scripture verses.

The verses themselves talk about Man being co-creator with God, naming things into Creation. Thus each thing became its own thing having received that identity from its Creator(s). A similar thing happens to newborns when they receive their name or names from their parents. They already have a family name, marking their membership in a larger group, but their given names makes them stand apart from every other individual in that family group.
