Besides having raised their fees and added newer ones, they also set a mind-blowing $100 threshold for countries like mine. Not only is this a middle finger to lots of people out there, but their customer support is adding insult to injury through the stupid AI contradicting itself.
In my email I specifically told them they raised the threshold because they don't want to pay too many transfer fees. That's what I suspected and it turned out to be true, because despite their dumb AI stating otherwise in its initial immediate response...
...it stated the opposite in the follow-up email that arrived seconds later:
I'm not a banker and I hate finances, but that looks like a contradiction to me. At any rate, the bottom line is they set the threshold ten times higher than it used to be. And that is NET! Meaning AFTER they've withheld their fees, which means people like me would have to make sales of at least $110.50 to be paid (or much more if the sales are made through their discover sales gig they're pushing so hard)!
This crap is making me consider a drastic reevaluation of the methods through which I make such products available, especially since Patreon has been a bust so far. I may go as far as to completely remove everything from that crap site and start sending the stuff directly to people via email using wire transfer to my Revolut as payment method.
Or I may stop offering them altogether.
If anyone has any thoughts on this you can drop them in the comments, otherwise right now I'm too distracted by mundane issues and too pissed by just having found out about this threshold crap to think.
