More on magical resistance

This is a follow-up to my previous article on the topic of magical resistance - what stands in the way of successful spells. I will be more specific in terms of details and explanations and for this reason I will address spells and rituals that employ planetary forces because many out there work exclusively with them (for some reason).

I have detailed the planetary dignities in this article and they should be considered by anyone who's doing planetary magick and wants to improve their results. By looking at those details we can see each of the seven classical planets becomes more or less stronger whenever it transits through certain zodiac sectors. Their strengths vary depending on each sector's type. It is a no brainer one would want to work with a planet when it's transiting through a sector in which it is very strong. But then...

Talismans

Concerning my post in which I discussed the possibility of providing extra services in the form of making and selling talismans, I want to give you a couple of examples with respect to their looks when I make them. The following photos depict an experimental Rigel talisman and a Jupiter one detailed by Agrippa in Book II, Chapter 39: "They made also another Image of Jupiter for a religious and glorious life, and advancement of fortune; whose figure was a man having the head of a Lyon or a Ram, and Eagles feet, cloathed in Saffron coloured cloathes, and he was called the son of Jupiter."

As you can see, they're are less than pretty. Although they were made and consecrated in one go during very auspicious times in both cases, I'm pretty sure not everyone would want to wear them as accessories as they're far from being attractive from that perspective.

Teaser 2

As mentioned in the previous article, here is another teaser for the upcoming book. I'm saying another teaser because I've already published one a while back. And since people keep asking me about its topic and I keep answering it consists of a series of standalone articles, each covering different topics, I decided to be less ambiguous and go a bit more in detail.

By a bit more I mean a whole lot more and speak about each article in turn, without actually going into details, i.e. offering too many spoilers. The underlying theme is practical application of astrology in magick and each article will do that from different angles while providing more or less theoretical and/or practical details. By this I mean some articles will be more theoretical, others more practical and others will be both theoretical and practical in roughly the same amount. 

The book turned out not as lengthy as Asteria but this one is more specific, branching out from the former into particular directions. Some of those directions have yet to be explored in detail especially in astrology so some people would question any possible magical application they may have. Yet even if they might not have an actual magical application, magicians would benefit greatly by taking them into account whenever the situation arises. We have yet to establish the final order of the ten articles and it is very probable their number will remain as it is if no stroke of genius or compulsive urge to write more hits any of us in the mean time. So when I mention them in an apparent order it's for the purpose of enumeration alone.

MILESTONE

This is going to be the last post of its kind because it's getting pretty silly for me to celebrate getting an all-time record number of viewers that others get in one month. Or even less than what others get in one month. But again, I didn't expect this blog would go this far back when I started it.

All I can do is to thank you all who've looked it up and to keep posting stuff you'll find interesting and most importantly, stuff that'll help you improve your techniques and get better results. The planetary talisman experiment series (the Moon article is linked and you'll find the links to all others in there) is still workable for the most part in terms of the elections I've proposed, but you can make those talismans later on at times when the planets are strong. You can also use the elections for other kinds of planetary rituals.

Pyramid occultism

This is the translation of the original article by Señor Shaman. He speaks about the situation of the occult in his natal Chile, but I decided to share it because it applies to the global occult environment as well.

Pyramids, pyramids, pyramids... 

No, I don't want to talk about pyramids and their energy so don't get your hopes up xD It turns out that as of lately the occult has basically become a pyramid game (Ponzi scheme), at least in Chile. I will give you the example with Reiki, but it applies to other areas as well. 

20 years ago there were few Reiki practitioners here and those who had the master's degree could be counted using the fingers of one hand, so it was very different than today (probably between three and five times more different, at least). But as it turned out over time these masters trained other masters and because more people were paying for the training, the prices lowered systematically for courses as well as for services (therapies). This made it necessary for those masters to learn other "variants" of Reiki and so "personal" styles began to appear. Call them people who created their own way of doing Reiki, added something to the name and thus offered it as "a new and better way". They started offering people that product, those in turn, to others, etc. In the long run this caused that "new school" to become devalued and this is how more and more "variants" appear with more and more bombastic names: "Reiki of the Atlantean silver star unicorns" or "reiki of the dolphin telepaths of the big bear", add in aliens, ascended masters and season to taste. This is purely a marketing thing, not spirituality.

Fixed stars experiment

Since there's little talk of working with the fixed stars in the occult regions of cyberspace and since much of that talk is restricted to several well-defined areas, I thought of posting this article so whoever comes across it and is interested in giving it try can take a shot at working with fixed stars. And since working with the fixed stars is restricted to working with the 15 Behenian stars and some constellations, as depicted in old sources, I thought of choosing a star that's not part of that group and therefore we know next to nothing of it from a magical perspective. 

What I mean is we do not have a clear set of magical powers attributed to this star, no correspondences or sigil and so on. Instead, we know certain things about it from an astrological perspective and so this experiment consists of addressing the star itself and having it do such and such things astrologers have observed regarding it.

Milestone achieved & ANNOUNCEMENT

I finally reached 1000 views per month!!! It's not like it's a big deal, quite the opposite when you consider people like Scott and Nick get tens of thousands of views each month, but it is for me because I never thought I'd go so far with this blog. As I mentioned a few times in the past, it started out mostly as a joke and I paid little attention to how I wrote the articles and so on. But it seems people have started showing more interest and so I guess I must've written something interesting along the way. This seems even more apparent since five months ago I managed to get over 500 views a month for the first time. And now I'm so close to reaching 10k overall. 

Too bad Google won't allow ads to run on it because apparently they disagree with running ads on a blog that already advertises things. Funny how they allow ads to run on YT channels of people who constantly promote merchandise though... I'm not saying this because of the money, given I had no idea this blog would improve so much over time and likely because I wouldn't earn much from their ads in the first place, but it's a thing of principle.
