Appeasing Mother Nature

It's insane to think we as humans can subdue nature since it's shown time and again it can easily overwhelm us regardless of our technological progress. What we can do is to minimize whatever unpleasant surprises it throws our way. At the same time we need to understand that any such events we usually consider unpleasant are part of nature's self regulating patterns in response to increasing human activity and even more so, greater climatic cycles we have yet to comprehend (in detail).

If winter time can bring paralyzing storms and blizzards, summer is the playground for heat waves and drought that often cause wildfires. Lately I've been hearing of such devastating events happening all around, from the Greek islands to south-western France. In some cases such fires are a result of arson, in others of carelessness, while many more are natural occurrences. Whatever the case, it would be less likely for the fires to spread so fast and cause such damage if they encountered more resistance in the environment.

It's a no brainer that firefighters and volunteers have their work cut out because of the dry soil and underbrush that facilitates a rapid increase and spread of the fires. Therefore, working towards creating a safer environment that would contain or at least prevent such hazards from causing literal hell on earth becomes more an absolute necessity. And since it's impossible to know where the fires will start next in order to start clearing the underbrush and water the soil in advance, except maybe if people appealed to divination, we should at least work with nature to do part of that work for us.

Scientists have become able to cause rain through various methods, but I don't think anyone is considering such measures to prevent fires. Instead, people usually use them for agricultural purposes. So we'd have no choice but to do it ourselves through whatever means possible. Fortunately, there are also magical means for that. Unfortunately, they work much better and have a greater impact if used in advance and by people who live in closer proximity to potentially dangerous regions or areas that are already being affected by fires - see Fabian.

Relying on people far away to use magical means to fight the fires is not the best option by far, especially when even the "experts" would mostly use it as an opportunity to post pictures of their altars on social media to let the world know how much they care about others. Instead, it'd be best to do it yourself even as a reaction to the already spreading fires, if not as a method of prevention. You'd also be keeping any crops in the area safe and happy, not to mention saving countless wildlife.

If you're interested in doing that yet you have no magical skill or training whatsoever, don't worry. You can use my weather magick that's tailored for even the inexperienced to easily use and achieve success. The more people living in a certain region make use of such means, the more chances of longer lasting success.
