Not so fast!

On Saturday, April 30 there's going to be a Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Pisces which I'm sure many occultists with a slight insight into astrology would want to use in their work. Here is the chart for that event on the magical night of Venus (possibly even in its second night hour - haven't checked) for NYC time with the two benefics on the ASC, Venus still applying to the conjunction.

Normally this would be a super great time to work with either or both planets since Jupiter is in domicile and Venus is exalted in Pisces. If you apply Al-Biruni's triplicity rulerships Venus is also strengthened by triplicity. And since they're conjunct each other they also confer each other with additional strength through accidental dignity. Additionally, thanks to a cool person, I was reminded of the fact Jupiter will still be transiting at its usual speed meaning it will be as strong as usual when in domicile. Moreover, they're not involved in hard aspects with other planets.

BUT!

The Moon is combust. This means it doesn't reflect light and so it also doesn't reflect celestial energies. This means that any spell performed during such a time would have less chances of manifesting in the mundane or, because of the combust Moon, its effects would be erratic and may even be contrary to one's desires.

This is why I had to post this article in advance so that anyone who sees it will have received a fair warning. Naturally, they are free to proceed with their work as they please. I can even imagine people posting pretty pictures of altars on social media, bragging about such and such ritual they've done with the help of either one of those forces at that time, or both. Because according to some self-important dumbass astrology was used for agricultural purposes so bla bla. 

Therefore, I would recommend you overlook this date for a beneficial working with either of the two planets, as much as it might upset you. I know I was pissed the first time I came across it because I was anticipating it for a long time, back before I actually looked up the exact chart though. You could work with them a couple of days before because the conjunction would still be there, yet not as tight.

At any rate, just a quick reminder Venus is a few days away from entering Pisces and you can make use of this election for it if you want. And somewhat unrelated although since I talked about combustion, the Sun election is also almost upon us.
