Improving your results

Since Magic Words has started making itself known to the occult universe, I've had a couple of people emailing me asking for more details on how to improve their magical results. This article is aimed towards offering those details and it will be to the point so don't expect me to extrapolate more than needed.

1. Intent

This is what you want to manifest. It can be micro or macrocosmic in nature, such as improving your personality or health or improving your living conditions and relationship status.

Whichever the case, you should have a clear image of your desire and you will have to formulate it into words.

These words are the command you will give to whatever entity or entities you will call on for the purpose of manifesting your desire.

Formulate your command in a clear, straightforward fashion while highlighting your desire and whatever unwanted manifestations you want to prevent - look up Scott's blog for his explanation on the injunction and limitation.

It is best not to add more than one desire to your command while at the same time adding too many limitations can hinder that desire from manifesting.

It is up to you whether you add a time frame for your intent to manifest, but keep in mind it should be appropriate with respect to the nature of the intent in case you are one. A time frame that's too small can render the spell useless because anything set into motion by the spell will cease once the time frame is over and you will be left with whatever events have resulted by then. A time frame that's too wide can allow the entities to take their time and in some cases this can be detrimental to the operation because whatever progress the spell makes can be cancelled out along the way by the ever shifting astrological conditions.

2. Entities

Select the best suited entities for the job. Each entity has one or more powers and it will be way more productive in works related to those powers than others.

There are many entities of quite a few classes out there so every so often you can find yourself in a situation where you can choose between some of them to work on manifesting the same intent. This requires research and study since this information appears in more than a few sources, but more than one source has additional details compared to others.

Note that some entities usually manifest things much faster than others, likely because they're on a plane of reality much closer than our material realm and so they can produce changes in our environment quicker. This is important to remember when considering the time frame you'd want to set for the operation.

3. Timing

Timing allows you to work with the entities you've selected when the force they belong to is strong. The stronger the force at the time, the better it will work on manifesting things into reality. Likewise, the less tensed that force is, the better (except in specific situations).

Once you've selected the entities you will have to select the best possible time for performing the ritual although in many cases you'd have to wait for longer.

If your needs are more immediate or even urgent, you can check for suitable times that apply for other entities you had thought about in #2.

You can learn about this in more than one source, including Asteria.

4. Technique

Some call this protocol and insist on it being the most important thing in magix. While not undermining its importance I want to point out it can be worthless if used at a time when the force one works with is weak or worse, tensed.

Technique allows one to focus as much of the force they're working with into the ritual so you might be an ace at pentagraming and hexagraming for example, but they will merely concentrate the force in its state at the moment of the ritual, not improve its nature.

Nevertheless, certain steps that allow you to draw as much power into the ritual as you can are required, regardless of their simplicity or complexity. Things such as daily practice and theurgy allow you to improve your techniques and you abilities to use them.

5. Ritual

Once you've gone through the previous steps you will perform the actual working that brings everything together: you use your techniques at an appropriate time to call on the right entity or entities, which you will command to manifest your intent.

6. Follow-up

This step is somewhat overlooked by many from what I've noticed over time. It implies one is to perform mundane actions that reinforce their magical work and aid in its manifestation.

The two are complementary since the spell will facilitate the mundane actions and the actions will create more conditions for the spell to manifest.

Troubleshooting

As you might have noticed, there is a delicate balance when it comes to finding a way towards a successful magical operation, a balance that becomes more apparent as the difficulty of achieving one's desired outcome increases. As such, a ritual can fail and there can be multiple, complex reasons. I will mentions only a few.

a) the intent was unrealistic;

b) the intent was too complex either in the injunction or the limitation, or both;

c) the time frame was unrealistic;

d) the spell was not accompanied by (sustained) mundane actions;

e) the selected entities were sub-par with respect to the intent;

f) the timing of the ritual was far from optimal or not good enough, rendering the force weaker compared to the strength it needed to succeed;

g) the technique was poorly executed and/or lacked certain components that would've concentrated more magical energy;

h) certain natal placements and/or transits hinder your success in the areas of life targeted by the spell;

i) things the likes I've discussed in my previous article, while fully admitting I should've wrote it better - no time for me to focus on it unfortunately, since I wanted to address certain complexities I cannot easily formulate into words in ways everyone would understand, especially since my focus is being directed elsewhere for some time now.

I might come back and edit this article if necessary.

Hate on, dum-dums!
