The Sun is only dignified by triplicity although it's stronger than it's been over the previous three and a half months or so. It's also culminating although you can perform the ritual while it's rising. Just watch out for the aspects the Moon is making at the time, especially if you live more to the east.
The Moon is strong, exalted and in triplicity. It has separated from a rather nasty square between Venus and a Mars retro (that may cause certain problems until the end of Feb next year iirc).
The only thing that's off with this election is the Sun's applying square with Neptune which can cast a layer of fog on the results. I could've waited for the square to be separating, but the Moon would've been waning. I could've chosen an earlier time, but I had to avoid the square with Saturn and lunar positions or aspects I didn't like.
That being said, do what thou wilt in regards to his election.
