Picatrix talisman - first decan of Pisces

I apologize for posting articles less often, but ever since last year my schedule has changed completely. Whereas before I was busy and yet my schedule allowed me to write something every few days, even if I wrote it in sections, now I barely have time to look up the chart to plan my own rituals let alone write about anything interesting I might come across. Even so, it's worth posting about this topic.

Saturn has entered Pisces very recently and it happens to rule the first decan of this sign. Even better, it will retrograde in this decan so people will have even more time to work with the decan itself. According to the Picatrix the first decan of Pisces "is a face of peace and humility, of weakness, of many journeys, of misery, of seeking wealth, and the lamenting of one’s manner of living". As you can see, talismans made with this decan can have quite a few purposes, some of which are not so pleasant. Thus, you can also make curse talismans. The image to be inscribed is that of "a man who has two bodies and is like he is going to salute with both hands".

Otherwise, Agrippa mentions "a man carrying burthens [burdens] on his shoulder, and well cloathed; it hath his significion in journeys, change of place, and in carefulness of getting wealth and cloaths" as being the image and powers of this decan. You can choose Agrippa's version if it fits your needs better.

Since Saturn will be spending a considerable time in this decan, I won't give any particular election time. Just know that you'll have to have the decan rising, preferably in its day and/or hour (and you can have Saturn involved in aspects with the Sun if you're making curse talismans, otherwise the source warns against such aspects in regards to decans of Saturn and Mars). The Moon, its placement, aspects and phase should also be observed in order to increase the talismans' efficiency.

If you want to go qabalistic, the angel of this decan is Bihelami and the godname of Pisces is HHVY (Heh-Vay).

Happy talismaning!

  1. What you think how much influence in magickal terms is a average person without him doing magick or calling entities ?How much his energy affect the world?
I guess it also depends on his natal chart and aspects of his planets in rulership and its aspects, like Mars in Aries and its good aspect with Mercury should give energetic, strong willed -person with a gift for business, good reflexes..etc?

  2. This really depends on the individual person and the natal chart is an important indicator for their natural abilities, of course.

  3. As for the sigil to contact the angel of the decan, would we trace it on the kamea of the planet or the kamea of the sign's planet? In other words, is decan magick planetary or zodiacal?

  4. Each sign is devided intro three decans. You can use either the kamea of the ruling planet of the sign or that of the decan lord for the sigil. Or the Rose Cross.
