Above is the title of a recently published article by Señor Humberto, which has been translated into English. The article itself covers levels of magical complexity when involving astrological forces. It is short and to the point, being a good start for all wannabes and their associates, whose levels of dumbassery are skyrocketing.
"The practice of magic is closely linked to astrology. After all, magic operates from the astral plane, which is, by definition, where the energies of the stars are directly perceived. Consequently, all magical practices are affected by the energetic configuration that these energies generate, whether for good or ill. Below, we analyze the levels of magical complexity and their relationship with astrological knowledge.
Level 1: Self-knowledge and meditation
The first level of complexity involves meditative practices that seek greater self-understanding. For these, basic information about the planets and constellations is sufficient, as the practitioner activates these energies internally to understand their relationship with them or modify them. Since it is the practitioner's own energy pattern that is affected, success will depend on their level of understanding; the rest will be revealed through personal research.
As an extension of this level, the use of days associated with the planets facilitates the work by generating a greater environmental abundance of the energy sought. Likewise, the use of planetary hours increases precision, allowing the forces of the day to be combined with those of the hour and the daily cycle. At this point, the risk is minimal: if one works only at the meditative level, the mind's protective mechanisms inhibit access to risky levels of energy charge.
Level 2: Changing the environment (Rituals and Spells)
The situation changes when you want to modify external circumstances. The second level involves using the above conditions (day and hour) to influence the environment or other people through rituals. Here, the practitioner requires a greater amount of energy, which increases the risk of choosing an inappropriate astrological moment.
At this level, the dignities and aspects of the planets take on vital importance. One might believe that working on a Monday during the Moon's hour for a spell of reconciliation between a couple is sufficient; however, if the Moon is involved in a square or opposition with Mars or Venus, at the bottom of the sky, in exile or fall, the result can be dangerous. Not only are you exposing yourself to a disharmonious flow of energy, but the effect can be counterproductive. For example, the “solution” to the emotional conflict could manifest through such a violent an argument that it ends the relationship, eliminating the problem in an undesirable way. At this level, you are “playing with fire,” although the effect is usually short-lived and dissipates once the energy is exhausted.
The time frame also becomes apparent: the speed of each planet varies. A lunar spell acts quickly, while Saturnine energy is slow and difficult to predict. Here, too, the impact of the lunar mansions manifests itself strongly.
Level 3: Talismanic Magic
Here, energies are embodied in an object that will reproduce them continuously. Therefore, any error in the astrological choice of the ritual will be perpetuated. If the choice was inappropriate, the practitioner will be forced to nullify the energy of the talisman in order to avoid suffering the effects of a harmful force that will systematically accumulate in their life.
Level 4: Evocation
The goal of an evocation ritual is to get a spirit to perform a specific task (not to be confused with simple communication to obtain information). The assigned task will be completed using - and amplifying - the astral energies of the moment of the ceremony.
It is crucial to understand that evoking an angel, regardless of its hierarchy, is never simple or risk-free. The smallest angel possesses incalculable power compared to a human being. Contrary to certain New Age beliefs, the danger is real. It is not that they seek to harm humans, but rather that when a giant moves in a confined space, it rarely notices the ants it steps on. Evoking under adverse astral conditions is like operating a nuclear reactor without safety measures; it is the practice where astrological knowledge is most critical.
Years ago, together with my friend I. Alejandro Virgilio and under the guidance of our editor Nick Farrell, we wrote The Power of Asteria, a book on astrology applied to magic. Despite its nearly 400 pages, any experienced astrologer will confirm that it only covers the most basic aspects of this field; it is the ABC’s for anyone who wants to create talismans or work with planetary spirits.
Venturing into these practices without this basic knowledge is extremely reckless. You fall into an area where integrity depends on luck, and negative effects - except with the Moon - can take months to fully manifest. As in any field, in magic, incomplete knowledge is more dangerous than ignorance. The ignorant, but common-sense person does not usually perform evocations; the one who knows 'a little' dares to do so. In their favor, these types of mistakes often act as a form of natural selection, eliminating the reckless from the gene pool before they continue to contaminate the species with their stupidity."
