Road opening effects

One of my relatives went on a short trip through a couple of European countries last month. As usual in such cases, I had cast a road opening ritual on him to allow him to arrive at his desired destination and safely back home again. These rituals have usually worked smoothly with nothing worth noting, but this time something is worth mentioning.

The last stage of the trip had the man spend a couple of days in Brussels. The night before departing a horrible storm swept in from the north Atlantic, delaying or canceling more than a few flights. The air company had the man go to a hotel alongside the rest of the passengers until such time weather conditions allowed their flight to resume.

At some point the road opening kicked in and the man was notified he was to be taken by cab to Eindhoven to board another flight home. When he arrived at the airport the storm had beaten him to it and he thought this flight will be delayed or canceled as well. But to his surprise the ground crew gave them the green light and his plane was one of the last to take off that day. A couple of hours later he landed back home safely.

The reason I considered this even worth mentioning is that this time, unlike previously, the road opening spell actually had something noticeable to overcome. It may have been that other times it ploughed through more than a few, but those obstacles were too minor or not so noticeable to the person benefiting from the spell. This time though a raging storm was not only highly observable, but also an obstacle on another level.

Nevertheless, the spell did its thing and Hecate must be thanked yet again!
