Saturn burning

Saturn is now combust and will continue to be for the next seventeen or eighteen days or so. I've already addressed combustion in more than a few articles by now so there's no need to tag any of them. We've also addressed combustion in Asteria. Thing is I'm posting this short article because I felt the need to remind people of this event just so they'd consider it in their practice (should they choose or care).

I for one would not be doing any beneficial Saturn work during this time frame and only resort to smiting. By extension, I wouldn't be making any Saturn talisman for purposes other than ruin and destruction and so on.

If you happen to call on someone's magical services for things that require a Saturn ritual or a Saturn talisman, I would recommend you make sure the intent happens to fall in line with the erratic energies of Saturn. I've talked about the importance of the intent in Words because too many knuckleheads have discredited it so far, preferring to teach people how to make offerings instead (probably because they don't know shit other than that). Otherwise, make sure your occult service provider abstains from performing that service until the time frame has passed.

Saturn will be cazimi for a while on Feb 16 and that time is very auspicious of Saturn works of all kinds. This subject has also been covered at length both in Asteria and on this blog. But that time frame does not cover the entire day so make sure any such work you perform, or have someone perform on your behalf, is being done within the hours Saturn is actually cazimi, preferably applying aspect.

Now, I am well aware Saturn is greatly overpowering the Sun at the moment. It's also the Sun's dispositor. Being combust does not diminish Saturn's powers to the point of being completely sub par. However, combustion does make those energies very volatile and we'd also have to consider the Sun is also very weak and thus very inappropriate for beneficial work right now. So I for one would stay clear of these forces for something other than curses and such.
