Time and again I've addressed magical results, lack of, or what stands against achieving them. People will come across that in various articles on this blog, as well as in Words and Asteria 2.
This article will tackle the matter from another angle. Namely, what next? What I mean is, what to do after one perceives results of their magical work, either substantial or otherwise.
Lots of people, both practitioners and (especially) clients have a tendency of thinking magical results should be permanent. They're not. The first reason for this is that any magical energy directed towards manifesting a certain scenario will have stopped doing so after the successful outcome has presented itself. This is in case said force was instructed to do so by the magician, but even if it that's not the case any energy set into motion will fizzle out eventually.
Another reason for magical results not being permanent is people's complacency. In this case the person witnessed their wish come true and stopped putting mundane effort towards it. This can prove very disastrous for anyone having such a mindset.
For example, if someone wanting to be in a romantic relationship with someone else achieves that through magical means then starts behaving like a twat towards their partner thinking the juju will keep them together regardless, he or she may soon find themselves out in the cold. Another example would be someone being hired at a certain job and then becoming reckless, lazy and negligent when preforming their job requirements. From another perspective, removing an unpleasant situation or person from one's life doesn't mean one would stop encountering something or someone similar sooner or later.
All of this can be prevented through talismans since they will work in the long run. It can also be prevented by doing regular rituals for maintaining their initial success. Even so, they'd still have to perform mundane actions towards that goal to enforce those energies, or at least hold back from performing any contrary actions.
When you got the goal ,you need to o mantain that goal....for example enligtment needs to be mantained by dailly practices ...if not you get "back here"! Same with mundane goal!
ReplyDeleteAccording to Scott, a magical operation is worth doing despite what may look like weak astrological conditions. However I was wondering if we set in the charge that the spirit does not follow up with the charge (talisman or petition) if the magick is doing the exact opposite of the charge.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try that so it'd be best to give it a go and see how it works out.
